Last night (October 31), The Strokes performed on Saturday Night Live for the first time in nine years. Though they released their latest single, “An Ode To The Mets,” in July, the band opted to perform two songs off their latest album The New Abnormal: "The Adults Are Talking" and "Bad Decisions."
Though they haven't taken the SNL stage for nearly a decade, this marked the New Yorkers' fourth appearance as the show's musical guest. The Strokes aren't the first rock outfit to perform during the sketch comedy show's 46th season. Earlier this month, Jack White was SNL's hero when he signed on as musical guest last-minute after country rising star Morgan Wallen got kicked off for violating COVID-19 protocols. White paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen during his performance, playing a custom guitar designed by the late legend.

Though The Strokes haven't announced any more live performances for 2020, they were recently announced as a headliner for Outside Lands 2021, along with The 1975 and Vampire Weekend. The festival is set to take place August 6-8, 2021 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
