At a tailgate yesterday, they had a PIÑATA shaped like Rudolph, and they were whacking it with a HELMET. Speaking of Rudolph, it definitely wasn't his weekend. He got slapped with a $50,000 fine from the NFL for his role in the brawl. He wasn't suspended, but he instigated the helmet yanking . . . and may have egged Garrett on.
Then, the Steelers benched him in the second half yesterday in favor of Devlin Hodges. It didn't have anything to do with the fight . . . he just wasn't getting the job done.Hodges helped the Steelers come back from behind and beat the Bengals.
Meanwhile, sources say the NFL is "hopeful" that Garrett's suspension will be lifted by the start of NEXT season, but he'll have to cooperate with the league.
