CHP officials tell Patch that northbound lanes of the freeway are now back open, as well as the three left-most lanes of the southbound side. The slow lane on the southbound side remains closed due to a big rig blocking it, CHP Officer Mike Lassig says.
Though the lanes re-opened, traffic remains severely congested on both Interstate 15 and nearby surface streets as a result of the incident.
Southern California Edison officials tell Patch that the downed line resulted in a power outage to 793 customers in the area. It wasn't immediately clear when it would be restored, though crews are working on it now.
