Last week, Vegas sports bettor James Holzhauer came out of nowhere to take "Jeopardy!" by storm.
He not only won for the TENTH time last night . . . but he raked in a record-setting haul . . . again . . . beating his own single-day winnings mark.
He won $131,127, which eclipses the record of $110,914 that he set last week.So far, he's won $697,787, which is second only to the $2.5 million that Ken Jennings won during his epic run in 2004.
Ken did it during a 74-night winning streak. But James is on pace to surpass him in just 36 games . . . if he lasts that long.At the moment he seems pretty unbeatable.
Last night, he went 40-for-40 on responses in the first two rounds and went into Final Jeopardy! with $71,114 and a commanding lead. His fellow contestants had $5,400 and $5,000, respectively.
