Skyrocketing Insulin Prices & Our Jacked Up Medical System

I saw this story and I felt I needed to share. This is what my family has to deal with every day. My daughter (5) is a type 1 diabetic. We found out when she had just turned 2 years old. Sure we linked up with communities, face book pages, and other families. It doesn't change the fact that my family, and most families struggle trying to keep their loved ones healthy and alive who are affected with T1D.

Here is a story shared by a news outlet, and it goes behind the scenes of what a lot of us T1D families have to do to survive. Over stocking, and sharing supplies is a must. Our system is far to F'd up. It's all about the money.

I could go on, I could share stories of what I read about from other families, the struggles, waking up in the middle of the night to make sure your loved one has good blood sugar numbers, holding them while they hit a nasty low in hopes that they come back up above 80.. as they lay there weak and lethargic.. but I won't.
