Help a local family get the type 1 diabetic dog they need for their little one. This dog will be able to alert the parents of any lows before her blood sugar drops to scary levels.
This hits hard for my family and I. Delilah is a friend that we have made in this journey as my 4 year old Zoie is also a type 1 diabetic. These children did not ask for this type of life. We didn't do anything wrong as parents.
Based on my own experiences this disease never gives you a break. I can go on and on.
This dog that Delilah needs will be just for her, and it's full time job is to keep her alive and notify others if she drops too low threatening her life. People often say that there are other devices to use, and you know what.. technology isn't always correct. Sometimes it can be 20, 30, 40 , 50 100, 125 off actual blood sugar levels. If you can help, click the link. They are so very close to their goal.
