We have been remodeling our home for the last 2+ years now. Luckily the inside is 95% done but the outside is only about 60% done. The good/bad thing about our house is that we have a big yard. That is what we were looking for when we were searching for a home...a big backyard with privacy. Our last house had one of those patio type backyards where you could hear your neighbor sneeze when they were inside their house. But now that we are landscaping said yard, it's a lot of work. We got the big stuff done before moving in....privacy hedges, sidewalks, patios and the pool. But everything surrounding that is basically just dirt waiting for some love. Right now the hubby is working on a 100 foot retaining wall on one side of the house. He just finished putting the drains in. Of course he put drainage in like we live in Seattle...guess better safe than sorry. Now we are getting quotes for all the base, block and backfill then the hubby can get to building a wall. I would love for the house to be 100% done but it is nice to know that it is getting done right and done exactly how we want it.
